Child Educational Volunteers:

Deliver presentations to students in grades K-6 about the importance of open communication and teaching positive coping strategies. Must have a valid class 5 driver’s license and reliable means of transportation. Must be at least 18 years of age. Volunteer hours are during the school day.

Youth Educational Volunteers:

Deliver presentations to students in grades 7-12 teaching suicide intervention techniques and how to help themselves or a friend. Youth Educational Volunteers are required to complete ASIST training (two day course) and must be comfortable talking about suicide with a large group of students. Must have a valid class 5 driver’s license and reliable means of transportation. Volunteer hours are during the school day. Must be at least 18 years of age.

Administrative Volunteers:
These volunteers will assist with filing, copying, data entry, etc. It’s those ‘little things’ that make a difference! Availability during some weekdays is essential.

Special Event and/or Project Volunteers:
These volunteers may be ongoing or one time depending on the circumstance. Come aboard and help develop something unique!

FUNDRAISERS AND SPECIAL EVENTS

January: Decadent Desserts Fundraiser. Desserts donated by local businesses are raffled off at a Rebels Home Game for $1 a ticket. The event date will be announced at the Rebels games and on the radio closer to the time.

March 1: Self-Injury Awareness Day.In 2008 and 2009 the 1st lands on the weekend, so we will not be doing a fundraiser. But please watch for this fundraiser in future years.

September 10: World Suicide Awareness Day.
